Will a printout of my university acceptance letter suffice for my ED visa application?

I’m in a bit of a conundrum. I’m applying for an ED visa in Chicago and am set to leave on 11/27. Already have CoE, ASQ, Flight booked.

I applied for the CoE using a scan of my university’s acceptance letter. However the physical copy they sent has been lost in transit. It’s possible that I won’t get a new physical letter soon enough to apply and receive my Visa before my flight, even with expedited shipping

At this point I’m desperate as my departure date is coming up. I wonder if a printout of my acceptance letter would work. The embassy website in DC does not specifically state “original” but I know I’ve seen it in other places: [members only]/

Thoughts?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is applying for an ED visa and is concerned about not receiving a physical acceptance letter from their university in time for the visa application before their flight. They ask if a printout of the acceptance letter would be sufficient, given the urgency of their situation. Comments suggest that a color printout may be acceptable, and adding university contact information could help facilitate verification.

Doing a full color print of it will work, not a black and white print. They understand that most documents like that are sent by email from the school, not by physical mail.

Why not also add a page with your contacts that you dealt with at university so they can contact them if unsure

i came in July and didnt use any original documents (apart from passport) just colour printed. I think they realise in these times it can be difficult. Good luck

I also find colour printing helps - identical document rejected when photocopied in B+W was accepted in color 🙅🏻‍♀️
