Can I use a Thai Language Course for obtaining a DTV visa instead of a Retirement Visa?

Just starting out on the DTV route from here in the UK as this seems a better option for me rather then the Retirement Visa. I don’t have an online business so would an option like a Thai Language Course be a viable one ?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion centers around the viability of enrolling in a Thai language course to qualify for a DTV visa. Most comments indicate that Thai language courses are generally not acceptable on their own for this visa type. Alternatives like Muay Thai or Thai cooking courses are more commonly approved. However, a specific language course in Chiang Mai that includes cultural activities has been noted as a potential option.

Generally they leave Thai language under the ED visa, very few have been approved for a DTV with this. Muay Thai or cooking are the most common options but make sure you use an approved provider and it's best to sign up for longer than 6 months

Language courses alone are not generally accepted. There is a course in Chiang Mai that adds cultural activities onto language and seems to be fine.

I don't think Thai language is an option

Muay Thai and Thai Cooking are the normal ones
