Hi Team,

Just a quick question.

We are in Malaysia now and we are planning to arrive in Thailand via train around 1st April 2024. But on the Smart Traveler (Australian Government URL ) web page [members only] it is saying that land border crossings only allow 15 days? but I checked the Thai Embassy page and they say 30 days [members only]

Can anyone please confirm there is no issue getting a 30 days Visa Exemption for Australians if entering by train?

See attached image.

Cheers,

Sean

TLDR : Answer Summary
An Australian traveler inquired about the validity of the 30-day visa exemption when entering Thailand via land border from Malaysia, as differing information was found on the Smart Traveler site and the Thai Embassy page. A comment confirmed that Australians will indeed receive a 30-day visa exempt entry.
