I have been reading the posts on here for some time and had my non-o based on retirement all planned out. Now there is a fly in the ointment!
I am a dual citizen of UK/Aus. Resident in Aus for 19 years and have always used my Aus passport to enter the Kingdom. I was going to move as soon as my visa was granted having applied via e-visa to Canberra embassy. It now looks like I need to go to UK shortly after I retire albeit for only a few weeks. My question is if I am granted the non o in Aus and then travel to the UK returning to Thailand will this be ok?
TLDR : Answer Summary
The individual, a dual citizen of the UK and Australia, is concerned about traveling to the UK after obtaining a non-O visa (retirement) in Australia and whether it will affect their ability to return to Thailand. Comments indicate that it should not be an issue; they can enter and leave the UK on their UK passport and enter Thailand on their Australian passport. However, it's suggested to obtain a re-entry permit to ensure the non-O visa remains valid during their travel.
