Can I transfer 400K THB before my marriage extension application if it's not been in my account for a full year?

I got a yearly extension based on marriage last year. I used the 400K to buy a car a few months ago, I am now about to transfer 400K from the UK again for the next extension (2 months before I apply). Is this ok or will they check that the money has been in my account the whole year? Also I am doing it in a different Immigration office as I've moved, I read that this might be a problem.

TLDR : Answer Summary
To apply for a marriage extension in Thailand, the funds (400K THB) must be in your account for at least 2 full months prior to your application date. Transferring money from the UK recently is acceptable as long as it meets this timeframe. Additionally, since you've moved and are applying at a different immigration office, ensure you file a TM28 form for the change of address and inquire about any necessary TM30 documentation.

With spouse extensions, they don't give a shit where it comes from , as long as it's in your account for 2 calendar months prior to applying for the extension. I've done it 4 times and have transferred it 2 days before start date of 2 month period.

The money must in your account 2 months prior to your extension, each office will require different things, but Phetchaburi also requires a copy of your bank book pages to show this as well.

The money needs to be in your account 2 full months before the day you submit your application.

So if you went to apply on February 5th, your money would have had to be in the bank since December 4th.

Did you go to file a TM28 change of address when you moved to a new province? Some immigration offices require this, so if you didn't do it or didn't ask your new office if you needed to do it, you should do that as soon as possible.

You'll also need a TM30 with your new address in the province you are applying from.

yes I updated the TM28 and the TM30 already. The extension runs out on the 28 April so I assume I'll have to have it in by February 28th. I only use this account for the extension so if I update the book bank it will just show 400k out and then 400k back in. I am going to assume I'll be alright.

just make sure you're aware it's 2 months from when you apply, NOT from when your extension runs out. Unless you plan on applying the very last day of your extension which is a very bad idea, you should get the money in before then.

Thanks for picking that up I'd better put it in before the 28th January and apply one month before it expires.

it really depends on what your office wants to see. They may require a bank letter. It's best if you go there soon and ask for the handout with the requirements for a marriage extension. This is a very general guideline but each office has their own unique requirements.
