Hi TVA. My Ed visa expires late September. Will I fall back on to amnesty once that date passes?

Or is it better to line up another year at the school (CMU) and do the paperwork before it expires?

Thanks

Answer summary

The user inquires about options for their Ed visa expiring in late September, questioning whether they will fall under amnesty rules or if they should re-enroll at their school (CMU). A comment advises that amnesty has not been available since October 31, 2020, suggesting they should either continue their education for another year or consider applying for a 60-day COVID extension if available.

News flash there

@Da***

there hasn't been amnesty since Oct 31, 2020 :O

You either sign up for continued education with the school you're at

OR

IF they are still selling 60 day covid extensions at the time your current extension is running out (the current plan is scheduled to run out July 29th) you'd get a letter from them stating you stop studying on the date your current extension runs out, go to the immigration office, cancel that extension and switch to a 60 day covid extension for 1900baht.

I'd say wait it out and see what's gonna happen when this current covid extension program runs out at the end of this month

I'm out of the loop! Thanks for the info, really helpful.

I'll wait until early august in that case, hopefully they extend the 60 day extension.

Is it possible to go from the extension back to an Ed Visa?

Thanks again

Sorry

@Da***

the answer to that question is between you, the school you enroll in and the immigration office you deal with. They are who you need to be talking to.
