I’m on an O-A visa presently which expires in August. If I did go out of the country and returned on a 30 day visa on arrival, can I then go over to immigration and apply for an O visa in that 30 day period? All other requirements have been fulfilled. Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about the process of switching from an O-A visa to a Non-O visa while on a 30-day visa on arrival. It was advised to renew the O-A visa before it expires, if possible. However, if they re-enter Thailand on a visa-exempt basis, they could apply for the Non-O visa, provided they meet the necessary financial requirements and have sufficient time remaining on their current visa.

Leave and re-enter on the OA before it expires and get stamped in for another year, you'll need the insurance cover. Failing that you could do as you ask and re enter visa exempt and apply for the Non Imm O in country if you meet the financial requirements.
