What should I do if I have no tax return to provide for my DTV application as an online worker?

Hello everyone

I applied for the DTV (Departmental Tax Return) as an online worker on Preply. I'm being asked for additional documents, including my most recent tax return. It turns out I don't have this document, and my income from last year isn't significant because I started my online job a few months ago. What can I do please?

Thanks in advance for your answers.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user applied for a DTV (Departmental Tax Return) as an online worker and is required to submit a recent tax return, which they do not have due to starting their job recently with minimal income. Responses suggested alternatives such as downloading a tax return from the IRS, clarifying the requirement for the most recent return regardless of income, and emphasizing the importance of meeting savings requirements for the visa.

the risk about soft power is that when you come back to thailand you need to show them that you register again to muay thai / ... lessons

no you don’t, my friend has left Thailand 6 times in the past 10 months and never been asked

That not everybody is questioned, does not mean nobody is questioned, and with the heavy abuse of DTV you can predict more checks.

yes, a lot of people go without interrogation or problem, we speak about maybe less than 5%. Just read the people who get interrogated to understand what about immigration is looking up.

no one has reported that yet

I see more and more reports of questioning at the airport.

some things trigger immigration ( just read what people get interrogation report here )

1/ you use a agent visa to get the dtv visa

2/ you apply not in your home country

3/ you need to get explaination what you will do in thailand ( if softpower you do each time no problem ... if you get a 1 time muathai.. you will not have a lot to say to that question related to the visa )

Just read what people say of the interrogation by immigration.

Of course, you can also go in without interrogation, or can provide enough good/valid response to go in.

For now nobody get refused to go back in, but there will be case, for sure.

Just give them the tax return. You can download it for free from the irs website if you are in the USA

No income requirements for the visa. Just show something

Just meet the savings requirements.

Lack of income history and or proper business structure will be red flag.

So you are saying you've never filed a tax return? It is asking for your most recent, not specifically last year's.
