Can I still do a border run if I've extended my 60-day visa exemption by 30 days?

Hello guys, have a question regarding the border run. I was told that it is impossible to do a border run if the 60-day visa exemption is extended for 30 days, so if someone wants to do a border run and get another 60 days, they must not extend their 60-day visa exemption. Is this true??

TLDR : Answer Summary
There is some confusion regarding the ability to do a border run after extending a 60-day visa exemption by 30 days in Thailand. Contrary to what some have said, it is possible to perform a border run even after extending the visa exemption. Comments from various users indicate that the misconception about being unable to border run after an extension is mistaken, and restrictions at certain borders might have been lifted.

Use a company they won’t take you if they can’t get you back and it’s only a day

the question was about first border run with 30 days extention, agencies now can arrange 100 border runs for you. 30 days was the main issue here, not just border run.

if you use a company you don’t have to worry about the 30 days

my dear friend, my question was about the immigration rules not about the company, particularly about first border run without any agencies. And it is not for me but for the readers of my fb group.

read again what I asked, carefully, preferably few times

That's the whole reason to do a border run is to extend your stay by another 30 days after staying in bangkok for 60 days
Visa **********************************
Whoever told you that is mistaken. You can do a border run.

I know, they did not show me any immigration rules about this, actually it is not for me personally but for the readers of my fb group, some agents like to confuse readers but as you can read in the comments something like that happened on Malaysian border.

does it matter if thousands do it every day?

I wish one of those thousands replied, I actually believe that it is nonsense, some people did 2 border runs without any agents, what is the problem with those 30 days

can you find this rule anywhere published? No. That should tell you enough, whatever the agent says.

And you're asking in a group where the steady crew knows more about visa and immigrations matters than immigrations themselves, even about things they have no personal experience with. Wouldn't you think that if this rule existed, the people who know all the ins and outs of the system, would know this too? I think we deserve a little more trust.

that is what I asked that agent, I said I wanted them to share that rule with me, still no answer, of course I trust this group that is why I asked here, I think this things are spread because there were some cases on Malaysian border,

If you waste your time in the extension line, it means your not a tourist using Thailand as a travel base.

oh can’t wait for this. Define specifically using objective criteria for what is a tourist in your opinion.

Should be good

Some borders might have this rule but as far as I know the ones that had it have since stopped it.

I was told this actually by an agent, what borders had this rule before?

@Petro ***********
I think it was the Malaysia ones. Don't remember really. It only lasted a couple of weeks
