Can I return to Thailand with an expired visa if my work permit was canceled while I was on holiday?
Good evening. Happy Songkran to everyone.
My inquiry is regarding workpermit cancelation & current visa status. My employer terminate my work contract on 31st March and cancel my work-permit while I am away for my holidays in my country. My current visa on my passport will be expired on 30th April and before leaving TH I purchased my re-entry permit stamp which will be expired on the same date of visa stamp.
Question is, right now with the current status am I able to return to TH using my existing visa on passport or It has been cancelled since the day my WP has been cancelled.
Note : New employer about to process my new work-permit. So they want me to return before the expiry date and for the visa processing. But not sure my current visa is still eligible to enter TH or not.

You'll get in on the current extension/re-entry and stamped until the 30th of April because Immigrations at passport control can't tell a work permit was cancelled when you stamp in
BUT
You sure will run into issues when you go to do anything as far as your new employer once immigrations finds out your work permit was cancelled back on Mar 31st.
You will get in though and stamped until the expiration of your current stamp/re-entry permit
