I'm planning on flying from hkt to KL and back on the same day or overnight.
Is this a bad idea?
Feel like I'm gaming the system too hard.
Answer summary
The discussion revolves around the experiences of various expats who have traveled from Thailand to Malaysia and back while holding a Digital Nomad Visa (DTV). Many commenters affirm that doing a same-day return flight or even an overnight trip is permissible and that they encountered no issues re-entering Thailand with a valid visa. Some suggest that instead of frequent flights, extending the visa is also an option. Overall, traveling to Malaysia is considered straightforward for DTV holders.

Flew to Hanoi airport for 6 hours, 2 weeks ago, and not an issue at all when coming back to Thailand. By the way. Ethiopia Airlines, which I used, was not only the cheapest but also much better than Air Asia / VietJet.
You can also extend the 6 months, once you have never extended that’s also an option. All DTV holders have one extension so if you wish to avoid leaving and returning that’s also open to you.
