Can I report my second 90 days at any Immigration office in Thailand or do I need to report from my registered address?

Hi, still a bit confused about the second 90 days report. I did my first one in Phuket. I am due to do my second 20th of April. I want to travel a round in Thailand and also do one week in Vietnam. Can I do the report from the closest Immigration office? Think I will be in BKK before I fly home or if I leave for Vietnam for one week, there is no need to report? And when I re-enter for a week or two before leaving, will I be stamped in as visa exempt or a DTV 180 days? If so, will it effect number of days next time I want to come back. Possibly stupid questions but would like to be law abiding even though I still do not fully understand the rules.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks clarification on the process for completing their second 90-day immigration report in Thailand, especially regarding reporting from different locations, the implications of travel to Vietnam, and the type of visa stamp upon re-entry into Thailand. Comments clarify that a 90-day report must be filed at the immigration office serving the area where the user is registered, typically within a specified window 75-90 days after arrival. It's also noted that a user can complete the report online within this timeframe. Concerns regarding whether leaving the country will affect future visa days are discussed, with information provided about the requirements for on-time reporting and implications of changing locations.

You report IF you are continious in Thailand for 90 days.

This count starts on day of arrival as day 1 or day of report as day 1.

The count of being inside Thailand stops at the moment you leave Thailand.

You report yourself in the window of day 75 until day 97 at the Immigration Office where your address is registered as part of this report is confirming your address.

You can not travel around and us a random office, you have to make sure that the hotel or landlord made the address registration at that local immigration office before you make your report.

Fine for not making a report is 2.000 Thb and could be handed out if you visit an Immigration Office, not by border check points at leaving the country.

First report is in person, following reports might be done on-line in the window of day 75 until day 89 at

If you’re due to do a 90 day report you use the office that serves the area your TM30 ties you to.

@Biff ******
so if I stay at a hotel in Bangkok my last days in the country, I can file my tm 47 with the hotel address, as the hotel will file a tm 30, right?

sure. But maybe before you go to Bangkok might be easier. Depends where you are and how close to the reporting day you’re there. Bangkok immigration office can be very busy. You have two weeks before and 7 days after the due date to report in person.

Also, when you check in, make sure they know you’ll want a copy of the TM30

If you're on a DTV you wouldn't be doing a second 90-day report, because you'll be leaving the country at day 179, unless you got an in country extension.

yes, stupid me, did it early as I thought immigration counted the 90 days and not from day of report. Next time, I will do it as late as possible.
