Can I Report My 90-Day Visa Check by Post If I've Never Reported In Person?

Can you do your 90 day report by post if you have never reported in person? If so, does it need to arrive at Immigration on day 15 before expiry date? Should I send it EMS on day 16?

I know you cannot do it online if you've never reported in person. Should it be approved by post, is that now considered having reported in person and I can do it online going forward?

I need to do it soon and I fear that there will be a 24 hour curfew. How do you think people will be able to do their 90 day report if they can't go to a post office or Immigration, and can't do it online.

TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, you can do your 90-day report by post if you have never reported in person. It's advised to send your report via EMS so it arrives at the immigration office 14 days before your due date, but it can still be processed if sent later, albeit with a warning on the receipt. Include all necessary documents such as your passport data page, TM30 receipt, and a self-addressed stamped envelope. If a curfew is in place, it is uncertain how post offices will operate.

So I am eligible to report by post? Should I mail EMS 16 days before expiry date?

You have a good solution filing by POST.

Take care...

Indeed. Should there be a 24 hour curfew, I hope post offices are open.

I'm in Bangkok and I got my extension from Chaeng Wattana

wanna say what immigration office you got your extension from and what immigration office your residence is in?

Thanks so much. Yes. I have taken trips every three months instead of reporting. I am on a yearly extension based on being over 50 and hold a multiple re-entry permit. I haven't ever reported in person.

perfect. hopefully there won't be a 24 hour curfew by April 23, which is when my countdown from 15 days starts.

well you are gonna do it in person this time OR you're gonna mail it :) OR you're gonna get a 2000baht fine

That's just how that works out :O

In Bangkok you need to have the letter post marked 14 days before your due date. They will still process the report if it's after that but they will stamp on your receipt "follow the rules"

You need to send copies of

the data page of your passport,

your current extension,

your current entry stamp

your TM6 departure card

your TM30 receipt

AND a filled out TM47 application for a 90 day report

Also have a self addressed stamped envelope inside the packet too

Send it EMS to the immigration office so you can track it and they will send back your copies and the 90 day report receipt

okay, you're on a yearly extension of stay based on being over 50 (retirement) <- which you got from the immigration office AND you hold a multiple re-entry permit <- which you also got from the immigration office.

You've never done a 90 day report before. Now that you can't leave your 90 day report is due 89 days from the date you last entered the country.

Depending on the immigration office you can do your 90 day report by mail.

I have an extension of stay for retirement with multiple entries. I've always done visa runs, so have never reported in person. My expiry date is May 7, so I can't report until at least April 23rd. Sorry I wasn't clear.

You do not do visa runs with an extension of stay ?
Robert *******
Do it soon, do not wait until there is a 24 hour curfew.

What kind of Stay do you have as you suddenly realise that you have to start to do 90 days reports?
