TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about the ability to report their 90-day residency check online after renewing their NON-O visa and acquiring a new passport. Responses varied, with some suggesting that it may be possible if a new TM30 is filed for the new passport, while others noted that some immigration offices might require in-person reporting due to system limitations. It was advised to try the online system a few days prior to the due date and have a backup plan to go in person if necessary.

I had to do the first one in person after getting a new passport, but I guess it's going to be office specific

Keep in mind some offices are telling people that the 90 day online program won't EVER work with a new passport that you got inside thailand, even if you moved the stamps, filed a new TM30 and did the first 90 day report on the new passport in person too ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

They say you have to physically exit/re-enter the country on that new passport to get it into the system

well, if you have a new TM30 filed (showing that you're registered at your address with the new passport) you MIGHT be able to do a 90 day online with it.

All you can do is try and it'll either work or it won't and then you'll know.

Just curious why you didn't ask them at the immigration office when you moved the stamps to the new passport and got your yearly extension? ๐Ÿ˜•

As you can imagine the office was totally packed and chaotic since Christmas in Jomtiem , I only got it back yesterday and not due to the end of next month. I will try a few day's before online and that will give me plenty of time to go in person if I have too. I will let you know how I get on. Just to let you know it only took 2 weeks to get the new passport which I was surprised about , vs global was very easy to do

Trying it a few days before it is due will probably be too late to do it online as it has to be at least a week before the due date so reset that reminder in your calendar ;)

you can apply for 90 day online from 2 weeks before the due date so I'd apply as early as you can in case it's not accepted
