My METV visa is expiring in OCT, 18. I am seeking advice, can I renew/extend it while I am in the country. If yes what will be the procedure?

You can not renew a visa. You can make another border run just before the Valid until/Enter before date on the visa to get another 60 days of stay, which you can extend with another 30 days at Immigration office.
