Hey - wondering if anyone had experience with renewing their yearly extension of stay early at Rayong Immigration?

My Non-Imm O (marriage) 1 year extension runs out in late May. However, I'm looking to fly home as soon as possible, and I'll only be back mid-June.

Does anyone know if it's possible to just turn up at Rayong Immigration and apply for another 1 year extension earlier than the stamp in my passport expires?

We live on the other side of Rayong so it's a bit of a trek with my wife's work commitments to just go on the chance they'll tell us to bugger off.

Tried calling the number on their site & google but they never ever pick up. Thanks very much for any assistance!

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is seeking advice on renewing their Non-Imm O (marriage) extension of stay at Rayong Immigration before the current stamp expires in late May, as they plan to travel home and return in mid-June. Comments suggest that applications for a new yearly extension may be permitted within 30 days of expiration. It's also recommended to gather all necessary documentation and potentially request an early renewal due to specific circumstances, though the outcome may be uncertain.

I believe in Rayong you can apply for a new yearly extension when you have 30 days or less left on your current stamp.

OR

you MIGHT get everything together as far as all the documentation, bank letter, bank book, etc AND your proof of your flight out before your extension and won't be back until it expires

They MIGHT <- as in it is possible they'll let you get the year extension early because of those circumstances, OR they'll say nope just let it run out and start all over again when you come back

In that case I'd just let it run out, get a new 90 day Non-O visa based on marriage from the thai consulate when you go home, come back and then apply for the year extension.

Those are pretty much your options,

AND sadly even though the office is far from where you are, that stamp is all that lets you stay here so I'd slog on over with your thai wife and hash out what can be done. OR go with the "get a new Non-O and come back" option

Much appreciated
@Tod ********
for your wisdom. Had sort of made peace with having to get a new 90 day Non-O visa back home, worst comes to worse. We'll take a chance going over there with all the documents in that case.

Thanks very much for your speedy reply. Have a good day!

, Just be sure you have a roundtrip air ticket with the date specified. An 'open ticket' wouldn't work...
