Can I reenter Thailand on a visa exemption while my DTV application is processing?

I was previously in Thailand for 3 months (visa exemption + extension), after i booked a trip to vietnam to apply for the DTV for 1 week but my visa is still processing. Can I let it continue processing and reenter thailand on a visa expemption for an additinal 3 months and then hopefully it gets approved by then and I can reenter on the DTV?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster is inquiring if they can reenter Thailand on a visa exemption for an additional three months while their DTV (Digital Nomad Visa) application is still being processed. A significant number of comments suggest that this would be risky as it could potentially lead to the rejection of the DTV application, advising the poster to stay outside Thailand until the application is approved. Additionally, there are concerns regarding the planning of the Vietnam trip, emphasizing that the processing time for the DTV can take longer than expected.

Why would you buy a single week visa to Vietnam when the absolute minimum perfect scenario processing time for the DTV is 5 working days?

You booked a 1-week trip to apply for the DTV? Vietnam gives a 90-day tourist e-visa. I can only wonder why you this to yourself. The application takes 5-10 working days. If they ask for further documents, the clock resets to 5-10 working days. You should have planned accordingly.

What if I'm ok with it being canceled. My problem is that if I stay longer I will be overstaying in Vietnam

Anonymous participant Check your visa in Vietnam. I heard Vietnam visa is 90 days. You said you were only there a week.

I would rather if possible reapply after 3 months in Thailand planning a longer trip out next time.

That would be a really stupid thing to do unless you want to risk your DTV application being rejected
