Can I re-enter Thailand with just a stamp after my O-A visa expires?

American passport, nearing the end of first year of O-A visa. Going out and back in to Thailand just before visa expiration date. Then I should get a Stamp that is good for another year, I am then told to go and get a multiple re-entry stamp.

Now my first question::??

If I depart Thailand after the Paper O-A Visa has expired And having the stamp For one year. If I go out of Thailand am I allowed back in to Thailand on just the stamp and no valid visa?

Question 2::  Can I go out and back in more then once until the date of the Stamp expires?

You need to get re-entery permit before or upon your departure Thailand, otherwise your ‘admitted to stay until’ will be gone.

Only in the 2nd year. Not in the First year. Not in the first year before the Expiry date of the first year

When you purchase a multiple re-entry permit it will be dated to expire the same date as your 1 year permission to stay stamp.

if you like to travel multiple times you buy the Multiple Re-Entry Permit, that gives you unlimited entries during that second year and on each time you return you get the same date stamped as the last time you got when you used the visa just before the expiration date.
