I arrived in Thailand mid feb on a SETV, extended for 30 days then done a Mae Sai / Tachilek border hop and re entered on a visa exempt which I extended.

I’m planning on returning to Thailand in the next few days via air on a visa exempt - do you think I’ll run into any issues? I’m a UK Citizen.

Cheers!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user, a UK citizen, shared their experience of entering Thailand on a Single Entry Tourist Visa (SETV), extending it by 30 days, and then re-entering on a visa exemption after a border hop. They are seeking advice on potential issues when re-entering Thailand via air on a visa exemption shortly. Community members responded with reassurances but cautioned to be prepared for immigration checks, suggesting to have proof of sufficient funds, accommodation booking, and onward travel.

Just an update. I flew into BKK today and was pulled aside to speak to immigration officer who asked about my purpose of visit, work etc. I was told because I had stayed more than 90 days in one sitting I should have come into the country on a tourist visa. After showing my onward flight they were able to stamp me on 30 days.

Plus accommodation and onward travel, Visa on Arrival is only available for 21 countries and gives you 15 days of stay.

If you’ll be applying for a visa on arrival you need to be able to show at least 10,000 Baht per person OR 20,000 Baht per family.
