Check the website as far as their requirements, turn in your application one morning and pick up your passport with the visa the next afternoon. NOTE: they ONLY take USD at the thai consulate's in Vietnam for the visa feez.

last year they were requiring proof of funds 20K baht in a bank account and proof of onward travel (within 60-90 days) but I don't know if they still are.

Hopefully someone will weigh in who's been there recently.
