What visa should I apply for before moving to Thailand for retirement?
Looking for some Visa advise

Decided to retire in Thailand!
Will land in October!
I am 55 and my husband is 45
I was told he can apply as a dependent with me for retirement visa!
But a bit confused on what Visa we should apply for before leaving since I think I don’t have enough time to show the proper income in savings before I get there from the states.
I have a non-negotiable pension that cannot be taken away but it looks like I can’t use that and need the savings account for up to 12 weeks but I’m 13 weeks away from leaving and haven’t deposited the money yet from investments
Should I apply for the 90 day tourist Visa and once I’m there put my money in a Thai bank account then apply for retirement visa??

Yup they denied me access this year based on 2024-2025 while I extended legit all with their immigration office and border agencies.

yes and now they ask why I got so many exemption before DTV so now I buy fast track every entry so that problem is solved. love Thailand just get the right visa bro

IndigoStrawberry3658 and I think you can get asked questions even if you do fast track. It's all random 😆 I've done normal entries and never been questioned

No I did it because I genuinely wanted to learn Muay Thai here long term without having to keep doing runs into places I have no interest in.
