Quick question, it's been a year-and-a-half since I've been to Thailand (been going for 12 years), can you still extend for one week after your first 30 days on arrival?

Laws change so much, wanted to ask for the latest

TLDR : Answer Summary
A USA citizen can enter Thailand with a visa-exempt entry, allowing for a 30-day stay. It is possible to extend this stay for an additional 30 days at immigration for a fee of 1,900 THB. However, extending for just one week after the initial 30 days is not an option, as the law does not provide for such an extension.

No, 1 week Extension of Stay never existed in Thailand. If you arrive on the Visa Exempt Entry you can apply for the 30 day Extension of Stay.

You get 30 days visa exempt. Extend 30 days for 1900bht at immigration.

Bring 20,000bht or us dollars to that amount. Proff of accommodation and onwards tickets
