Hello! I have a question. Do you know if it is possible to extend a tourist visa twice? My friend’s visa is for 30 days, is it possible to extend it once (so 30 days more) and then another time??
I went to the inmigration office and they tell me that i can do a normal extension and then covid 19 extension for two months more. But they also told me that the covid extension finish in the 25th july. My friend arrive here the 25 june until 10 September. So i am not sure of we can use the covid extension one.
Is it possible to ask directly after the first month of the tourist visa for the covid extension?? Or just right after the first month we are just allowed to ask for the regular extension one and not covid?
Can you help me, please!!!!

TLDR : Answer Summary
A tourist visa in Thailand can typically be extended once for an additional 30 days. While some sources suggest that a COVID-19 extension may be available, its applicability depends on timing and specific regulations. In this case, the individual in question has a tourist visa valid from June 25 to September 10, but the COVID extension ends on July 25. Therefore, after the initial 30-day period, it might only be possible to apply for a regular extension, contingent on having the required documentation for other valid reasons.
The Single Entry Tourist visa can be extended once with a 30 day based on tourism.
After that it can be extended on several reasons but that means you must have the correct documentation to prove the reason.
As example: Visiting family, marriage certificate and id wife
Medical Extensions, letters from Hospitals and doctor
Do not plan that your friend is unable to travel, airports allow people to leave and land borders are open. If your friend wants to stay longer, pick another visa like the Multiple Entry Tourist Visa which can give him almost 270 days inside Thailand.
