For information about how to acquire a 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19.

Apply for it, the worse that would happen is they would say no, and you'd have to return home.

You can TRY to apply for a covid extension but there is no "I would like to stay longer" reason.

I'd say go try to get it but be prepared with a plan b to fly out when this stamp expires.
