I have a 1 year extension of stay based on my foreign child who attends school here in Thailand. My extension of stay was issued by Immigration in Krabi.

Does anyone know if I can get a multiple re-entry permit at Suvarnabhumi Airport before departure, or does it have to be done at my local immigration office in Krabi?

Yes you can get either a single re-entry permit or multiple reentry permit at the BKK SUVARNABHUMI airport.

Cost : single 1,200 Thai baht, Multiple 4,000 Thai baht.

(includes 200 Thai baht fee for the staff to prepare your application AND take your photo)

Arrive an extra 30 to 45 minutes early as they can be busy.

Just tell the Thai Immigration Officer that you wish to obtain a re-entry permit.

They will direct you to the reentry permit desk after you stamp out / clear Thai Immigration.

no issue at all getting a re-entry permit at BKK airport before you fly out

You hard stamp out (not auto-out gates) and tell the officer when you stamp out you want a re-entry permit.

1200baht for a single / 4000baht for a multiple (the 200 extra about the cost of the re-entry means you don't need the TM8 form, passport photo, or copies, just your passport)
