TLDR : Answer Summary
There is no option to receive a 90-day tourist visa upon arrival at Bangkok airport. Travelers can obtain a 60-day tourist visa before departure, which can be extended for an additional 30 days. Additionally, if from eligible countries, visitors can receive a 30-day visa exemption on arrival, extendable for another 30 days. Some nationalities are eligible for a visa on arrival for 15 days. There is a Special Tourist Visa (STV) allowing an initial 3-month stay, but it must be requested from a Thai embassy prior to arrival.

Just get an E-Visa. Was my first time doing it this year, very easy and fast.
there IS a Tourist Visa allowing 3 months, which you can extend twice more and stay 9 months in total. It's called STV, as in Special Tourist Visa. That being said, it needs to be requested in your home country and is a pain in the ass to get. If you persist, you will be able to get it. Just ask the Thai Embassy at your home country.
I think they just started doing it late last year. Pretty smooth process. Note: this is a 60-day tourist visa, and then you can extend it for another 30 days at immigration (not the airport) once you’re here.
Despite all the answers yes you can get, but only if you are passport holder of Brazil, Chile Peru Korea i think a couple more.

It is worth applying for tourist visa in your home country. Most Thai embassies have made it pretty straightforward and painless. No hassle when you arrive

Nope. Depending on your nationality you can either get a 30 day visa exempt entry at the airport, or you pay 2,000 baht for a 15 day visa on arrival (16 nationalities, like China,India and the like).

There's no such thing as a 90 day Tourist visa.
You can apply for a tourist visa outside of Thailand and with that you'll get 60 days when you arrive and you can get a 30 day extension, giving you 90 days total.
Or if you're from an eligible country you can receive 30 days visa exempt on arrival and extend that for 30 days giving you 60 days total.
visas are usually good for 90 days. The date on the visa has nothing to do with how long you can stay in Thailand. That's just the validity date of the visa itself and you must enter Thailand by the date on the visa to use it.
