Hi all, is it possible to get the 60 day visiting family extension after a 12 month in-country spouse visa expires? This would mean I sandwiched the 60 day either side of the 12 month spouse visa (is that ok)?
I arrived on a spouse sticker with a 3 month visa, that I expended by 60 days based on visiting family to seed the funds for the 12 month spouse visa, and don’t want to reapply for the 12 month visa again as I will be leaving in January and only need the extra 60 days.
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about the possibility of obtaining a 60-day visiting family extension after their 12-month spouse visa has expired. They are considering sandwiching the new extension between the expiration of their spouse visa and their planned departure in January. Several comments suggest that this might conflict with existing immigration policies, as multiple extensions based on the same reason may not be permitted. It is recommended that the user consult with their local immigration office for clarification.
