TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about the ability to fly domestically within Thailand despite their TR visa having expired before the Covid-19 amnesty deadline. The comments clarify that flying domestically does not require a passport, as domestic flights do not check passports, but a passport is needed if staying in hotels due to TM30 reporting requirements.

Since this post is starting to drift off in "Can I can get a drivers license in Thailand?" and "Can I get a certificate of residency", and "TM 30 requirements" domains, I'm going to close the post.

Thank you Ben! Yes I checked, no restriction by far. It seems only Songhka, Satun, Pattani, Yala, etc are not recommended by Ministry Health due to the Covid19. Thank you!

Yep, you can. Check where you're flying into for any regional restrictions.

If you're staying at a hotel you would still need your passport so the hotel can submit a TM30

To fly domestically, if you do not have your passport with you, you can use your Thai driver license ID card. They do not check passports when flying domestically.

because a tourist is now allowed to have a thai driving license in Thailand... He's a TR he need passport and yes he won't have any problem with the permission of stay expired due to the amnesty...

it was a while ago as since 2019 in most of the land transport office you'll need a certificate of residence for get the DL, then I want to add that if you need to check in in my hotel showing a passport as a foreigner visitor is mandatory as we need to fill the TM30 form. So again saying that travel as a foreigner in Thailand without your passport I doable can be right, it is a good idea? Certainly not.

The question was "can a person fly domestically without a valid visa/ passport" and the answer is "yes, they do not check the visas before departure"
