A foreigner can even enter Thailand with less than 6 months on their passport. It's the airlines that won't let you travel internationally with less than that. There's no 6 month restriction inside the country.

immigration will not allow entry to thailand if you have less than 6 months on your passport its the Law in thailand

that's incorrect. The ONLY Thailand 6 month rule is that you cannot purchase a visa if you have less than 6 months left on your passport.
