Hi everyone,
When you travel domestically in Thailand, do they check your Thai visa at the airport when checking your passport?
A friend of mine has 2 passports, one of them has my visa in it. They need to do an urgent trip domestically and only have the passport without the visa on them at this time.
Has anyone travelled in Thailand with a passport without a visa in it?
They have a photocopy of the passport with the visa as proof.
Thanks in advance!
TLDR : Answer Summary
When traveling domestically in Thailand, it appears that passport checks do occur, but they may not always require the visa itself. Many travelers have reported boarding without being asked for their visa, instead using alternative forms of identification. If your friend carries a photocopy of the passport that contains the valid visa, it should suffice in case of any inquiries.
