Having searched through other posts I found some information that might help my visa extension situation.

Visa extention - "In the case of a person who used to have Thai nationality or whose parent is or was of Thai nationality"

I am half Thai, with documentation of mother being Thai national.

Can I apply for an extension based on my current visa? (entry - visa exemption, to currently - 30 day tourism extention)

If so how many days can I apply for and also which branch? Chaeng Watthana?

Any advice appreciated. This group has been extremely helpful. Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user, who is half Thai, inquires about extending their visa exemption, currently extended by a 30-day tourism extension. A comment advises that they can apply for an extension at the Muang Thong Thani Immigration office. Required documents include their birth certificate, Thai ID or passport, their mother's Thai ID, and relevant house books. It is suggested to apply before the current visa stamp expires and that the process typically grants an extension for one year for a fee of 1900 baht.

as you entered on a visa exempt entry (which is why you have เธœ.30 stamp by visa class) you would go to the Muang Thong Thani Immigration office to get ANY extension (which is evidently where you got the 30 day extension under your entry stamp ๐Ÿ˜‰ )

You will need your birth certificate, your thai i/d card or thai passport, moms thai i/d card, moms house book listing, and your house book listing IF you have one. If your mom is in Bangkok they need to go with you.

The extension is issued for a year for 1900baht and the stamp looks like this. You got to the end of March to pull this off but go see if you can get it BEFORE you run that stamp down, because if they won't issue it (not because you're not thai but because you don't have the documents they require) you could still get a 60 day covid extension

Awesome, thanks for the advice.

Yeah 60 day covid is the backup, Ive been looking through other posts and a few immigration offices seem to be more lenient with it, so backup plan is to travel to (hotel overnight) other district if Bangkok isn't helpful.

yep, just make SURE that when you get the covid extension at another office you remember IF they give you an 'under consideration' stamp (which is the first stamp in the 2 stamp covid extension process some offices do) you HAVE to go back to THAT office to get the 'loop closed' and get the rest of the covid extension stamp inked in. No other office will do it.

So it would behoove you to find an office that will issue the 60 days on the spot ๐Ÿ™‚
