Has anyone here done a year extension based on Thai nationality - IE being half Thai ([members only] ). Have a Thai birth certificate (not ID card or passport), as well as my fathers Thai passport. I extended my tourist exemption 30 days already unaware of this being an option - so wondering what would be best next - try and apply at the end of this 30 days (including emergency extension letter from US embassy)? Any help is appreciated, stay safe!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The poster is inquiring about the possibility of extending their stay in Thailand for one year based on their Thai nationality due to being half Thai. They possess a Thai birth certificate and their father's Thai passport but have only extended a tourist exemption for 30 days. They seek advice on whether to apply for the extension after their tourist exemption expires, potentially including an emergency extension letter from the US embassy.
