Can I extend my TR visa stay in Thailand for more than 30 days?

Hi! I arrived on a TR visa and the red stamp allows me to stay until 23 May. This is my first time to do an extension, and I'd like to find out if I can get an extension for more than 30 days? Running low on passport pages so need to maximise the space I have left until I can return to Myanmar around August and hopefully receive a new passport by then.

Can I ask.. if I get the consideration stamp on the current passport then apply for a new passport (takes 20 business days), can I bring both passports and get the extension on the new passport? Or do I need both the consideration AND extension stamp on the same passport?

Thanks for information! If I run out of pages before my passport arrives, will I have to leave Thailand or will they take into consideration that I'm waiting for my passport to arrive? Unfortunately it takes months for South-Africans to get a new passport.

[mention redacted], you need 1/2 page for 30days extension and 1/2 * 2 page for 60ays covid extension. Make sure you have enough 'visa' (not endorsement) pages for stamps.

You can get your 30 day extension stamped in 2 weeks before your 23/5 date. 1900b

From the following day, you would be able to apply for the 60 day covid extension until 28/5 @ 1900b. First given an under consideration stamp, and then you return for the full extension stamp.

NB, most Immigration offices have more paperwork requirements for the covid extension. Clarify this when you visit for your initial 30 days.

Both stamps should be extended from your expiry date, not the date you apply

Who knows for sure what will happen post 28/5, i.e. if further extensions will be granted due to covid.

MOST immigration offices require you to get a 30 day extension of stay based on tourism before you can get a 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19.

AS OF RIGHT NOW, the last day they are selling the 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19 is May 28.
