I was hoping to stay in thailand for 90 days but im still waiting for my tr (60 day) visa to get approved and sent and then extend by 30 days while out there.
If I don't get it in time and just go on my passport visa exemption I know I can get an extension and stay for 2 months but is there any way of staying for 3 months by doing a visa run to Cambodia or getting a covid extension.
All advice is appreciated. Thanks in advance

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about extending their stay in Thailand for a total of 90 days starting with a 60-day TR visa and a potential 30-day extension while awaiting visa approval. They also explore options of using the visa exemption for a 2-month stay or performing a visa run to Cambodia to achieve a 3-month stay. Comments from other users confirm that a visa run is possible and discuss the conditions of visa exemptions and tourist visas.

I have not done any visa runs post-covid, however I used to do theme all the time. There are few in this group who have done visa runs to Cambodia, one individual claimed to have completed the whole journey in a couple of days.
Further, I imagine over the next few months more options will open up.
