I was hoping to stay in thailand for 90 days but im still waiting for my tr (60 day) visa to get approved and sent and then extend by 30 days while out there.  

If I don't get it in time and just go on my passport visa exemption I know I can get an extension and stay for 2 months but is there any way of staying for 3 months by doing a visa run to Cambodia or getting a covid extension. 

All advice is appreciated. Thanks in advance

I have not done any visa runs post-covid, however I used to do theme all the time. There are few in this group who have done visa runs to Cambodia, one individual claimed to have completed the whole journey in a couple of days.

Further, I imagine over the next few months more options will open up.

Hi Stewart, a bit off-topic: can you confirm then that visa exemption is 30 days extendable to 60 and with a Tourist Visa 60 extendable to 90? Thanks!

ahhhh. So that's no good fir me. I arrive on the 4th May. But believe I need to be in my extension period before I can apply for the covid extension.

Is that right ?

Yes, unless the covid concession is extended again, you wouldn't be eligible for it.
