I have a multiple entry TR visa and have a quick question. My first 90 day visa will end on May 20th. Rather than doing a boarder run and entering Thailand using my second TR am I eligible for a COVID extension?

Covid extensions are at the discretion of the immigration office(r). perhaps they will see your valid multiple entry visa and say no. you can only try.

Numerous land borders are now open, so doing a bounce is much easier.

Bit confusing question

. Multiple TR visa is valid for 6 months. But... you can only stay in Thailand for 60 days. Every time you leave and come back, you get another 60 days. So if you leave and come back just before your visa expires, you can get another 60 days. After you are here on your first 60 days, you can buy a regular extension of 30 days. After that you maybe could get a covid extension. For now, covid extensions ends 24th of may.

I have a strong feeling you qualify for 60-days covid extension.. Best is to make a trip to your immigration center and ask them in person as different centers have varying practices. Or maybe calling them would do the trick

I think you only can have one regular extension of 30 days

thank you for the response. I would try to explain in better details. I arrived on a multiple TR. after my 60 days I have extended for another 30 days. My stamp in my passport is May 20 for exiting thailand. I still have my multiple TR available for a border bounce. However, rather than going through this trouble can I apply for a 30 day COVID extension?
