I am currently in Thailand on a TR Visa and would like to stay for longer than the 60+30 days allowed. I have seen some options but nothing is very clear. What are my options visa wise to stay longer?
Thanks!!

TLDR : Answer Summary
If you're in Thailand on a TR Visa and wish to extend your stay beyond the initial 60+30 days, you have several options. One possibility is to apply for an extension related to Covid-19, which allows for an additional 60 days if applied before January 29th. Depending on your circumstances, you might also consider switching to an ED Visa by enrolling in educational programs, although this may involve costs related to classes. Another option is obtaining a Marriage Visa, which requires having a minimum of $20,000 in savings. A Volunteer Visa may also be available, offering a year-long stay. Ultimately, the most suitable option can depend on various factors, including your personal situation.

I agree about the ED visa. It's not cheap because you are going to have to enroll in kickboxing lessons or a reak school that works with this program but your other option is getting married and having $20K savings.
ED visa. I’m in the process of changing right now.

Longer than 60 days depends on a number of things like your age and financial situation.

Up until January 29th you can apply for a extension based on unable to travel due to Covid. After this date no one yet know what your options will be. Forgot to add that this would give you another 60 days in the country.
Mentioned that today at immigration in Jomtien, they said they will only stamp me for 30 days and I would have to come back for another 30 if covid thing is extended by gov.
We are hearing reports that some offices are making new arrivals on 60 day tourist visa stamps AND 45 day visa exempt entry stamps get the 'regular' 30 day extension FIRST before they allow a 60 day covid extension

Denis Dos. Possibly because the covid extension is a "last resort" option. You may have to use your other option first. But I doubt it'll make any difference. I can't see any systematic "get out of our country" option at this stage.
