TLDR : Answer Summary
A user on a 6-month tourist visa from the USA is seeking advice on extending their visa due to concerns related to the coronavirus. They were planning to return home to obtain a different visa but are now looking for alternative solutions. Commenters suggest extending the existing visa by 30 days or leaving and re-entering Thailand to obtain a new 60-day entry stamp, thus buying additional time.

You can extend your 60 day entry stamp ONCE by 30 days at the immigration office.

BUT

What I'd say to do is, just before that visa expires (April 1) , bounce out and back in to get a NEW 60 day entry stamp and then extend that by 30 days. That'd buy you 90days of time from that date and hopefully by july things will have calmed down

Both April 1

How about stating when your current 60 day entry stamp expires and when the VISA itself expires?
