Ime off to see the Mrs for two months with another mont visa extension.. being next to the Laos border I was thinking I would hop over for a few days at the end of the three months so I can fill in another entry visa for 8 weeks.. is this ok to do and do many other foreigners to Thailand do this?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on extending their stay in Thailand by briefly visiting Laos and then returning to Thailand in order to obtain another visa-exempt entry. Comments highlight various aspects of visa regulations, such as the risks of denial when crossing borders, the importance of understanding visa rules, and the necessity of having appropriate documentation like a marriage certificate for a smoother re-entry.
I just did this exact same thing about March 1. Have your wife with you and your marriage certificate. If they ask say you are applying for a marriage Visa. That's what I did and no problems stamped in for another 60 days

Just tried to fly back to CM after a short jaunt in KL. alot of my stamps are from Thailand over the years, never over-stayed or any trouble in the country (even sat out covID there) flew back in to get the waiver before I head back to the UK and was denied… had to stay overnight and sent back to KL and told to apply for a proper VISA. They are coming down real hard now-a-days on the old traveller ways 😢

I think you have confused a simple travel info form ( like we used to do on a paper card on the plane) with a visa.
you asked if you could fill in another visa. Yes you can apply for a visa. Check how long the on line visa application will take for the embassy you're applying at.
Or enter visa exempt for 60 days, depends on passport.
No, you never filled in an online travel info form before because it only starts on may 1st. We used to fill in a little landing card on the plane years ago. Now you do that info online in the 3 days before you arrive. So day

You're filling in a visa to enter Thailand? Can't you enter visa exempt ( no visa) for 60 days?
