What are the requirements for a Non-O Thai Family visa extension regarding photographs?
So this is just an FYI… doing my 1 year extension today, “Non -O, Thai Family” … one of the request is for a picture with my spouse showing the home address and family picture… so we did that… But the IO said they need an additional picture with a different angle… fortunately we where able to send another picture when we got home via Line, so it was not a problem… but I thought I would share 👍

Such a stupid thing.... with AI can change so many. so why not just be able to use and older picture. Sometimes IO is really exaggerating.

Each district is different. I was required to have 2 neighbors who had to prove they own their house for photos together & to say that I was really living here even though I have a lease and 90 day report 😂

We got that plus visit from immigration official to the home plus a 2 local Thais resident in our community who knew us for 10 years

We live in Mueang Songkhla they come to the house we rent and take pictures and talk, they were busy last year sent the Mueang Songkhla Police around nice guys very friendly no problems.

Well for me this year no home visit my bank forgot to sign the papers she put the stamp and forgot to sign two of them.Immigration just said make sure you get them all signed next year he must have been in a good mood they have always been great to deal with. That was for marriage renewal 1 photo inside the house with the two of us and 1 outside showing the house number and copy of village head's ID and his house book and he signed it and dated it that was new for this year.

They took three pictures, one at address, two inside and charged us 1000 baht for fuel to do house inspection. during house inspection they spoke with neighbors.

OPMichael Surber LOL… we had eight pictures total … they kept 3 but asked for an additional picture standing at the front door we had 2, the IO said to change sides … the two we had were to similar! I guess it is far to say take a couple of different angles just to be sure 🤷♂️

Had the same experience. They told us we could supply to the officers when they came the following week for home visit. We did and then 3 weeks later they dropped into confirm I was still at that location .

We did 6 photos from around the house and 1 showed the house number. They said they would send a police officer to check but he couldn’t find the house even when we sent a google map shot of the location. Then they asked for a neighbour verification but we don’t have any 🤷♂️.
All they wanted was a few baht 😉

In Prachinburi we are asked to provide numerous photos and other things. It's all very over the top in my opinion, it's almost like they don't believe that you stay at the address you have gave them. I HATE retirement visa extension time, especially visiting the bank before immigration, nothing is straightforward with them.

Lucky you. For us they didn't like the lightning (despite being the same pics accepted 2month earlier for previous extension lol) We had to go back home take new pics , print them and send a courrier to deliver them to immigration office 🤣

They want to see more of the house since they need to visit it as well, number visible. This is actually the only picture they wanted horizontal when we did it. But yeah, that changes per location;). We stopped laughing in these pictures a long time ago🤣
