TLDR : Answer Summary
The time it takes to secure a Non-O visa and its extension in Thailand can vary significantly depending on several factors, including whether you use an agent or handle the process yourself. Comments indicate that it can take as little as 2 business days to complete the process with an agent, while others mention it can take up to two weeks or longer if starting from scratch or dealing with a tourist visa exemption. Experiences shared include obtaining the visa in as little as 5 days or finding that it requires a week or two due to various circumstances. Costs may vary but generally include bank fees and immigration fees associated with the application.

Agent is the way to go, less than 5 days and hassle free.

Put your 800k in a high interest account and it'll more than cover the cost

I need 25 minutes on my bank and 30 minutes on Immigration, to get a new 1-year extension issued. Costs: 200 Baht for the bank and 1900 Baht for Immigration and two passport size pics

I should add: I use the Sisaket Immigration, this is where I live. . . . . In Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Jomtien and on Koh Samui, you should expect to wait half a day

Last week I went from a 60 visa exempt to the 90 day Non O retirement. I have to go back in 6 weeks to get my extension. Why you need a Agent or do you not have the 800k in the Bank

Bill Gilbert why do you care about someone else business? He wants to pay for agents. it is his money not yours. Let him do what he wants. Why you care? 🀣🀣🀣

Bill Gilbert his question is, how long it takes. So your answer is not the right answer. for example, I asked I take a Taxi to Bangkok, so how long it will take? So you answered, I took a bus to bangkok, why you take taxi? Taxi is expensive. Is this right answer about the question? Think before you get angry. 🀣🀣🀣

Steve Fortefyve Go to Laos and apply for the Non-O there.

Will probably be less expensive than a agent, and a nice trip at the same time while you wait.

Marianne Holmen He has a lot of money. why he goes to Laos? Laos can come to him with paying a lot of money for agent. That is money power. Do not worry, he has a lot of money for that. Even it is not your money. Take good care of your money first before you care about someones money. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

With an agent, 2 business days from zero to Non O 1 year extension. Even starting from a tourist visa exemption and no bnk account.

On 60 days exemption, a tourist, have nothing, 54,000 THB.

On 90 days Non O, no bank account, 34,000 THB.

On extension already, next extension, own bank account, own home or rental contract, 13,000 THB.

90 days reports on your behalf, 300 THB every 90 days.

The prices may vary but not for much.

James Reid Patrick You mean the sort of choice that is illegal because the applicant has neither Bt800k in the bank nor Bt65k income every month ?

Andy Johnston Not illegal the Extension is granted at the Immigration Officers discretion. At the same time they could turn an application down even if you have the required funds.
