TLDR : Answer Summary
You can extend your Non-O visa based on marriage to a Thai citizen without your spouse being present at Chaeng Wattana. It is advised to bring your Thai child with you as well as necessary documents like marriage certificates, your wife’s Thai ID, and the house registration book to support your application.

the 60 day extension is issued for visiting family, SO you could take your thai child with you BUT take the marriage certificates, copies of your wifes thai i/d, house book etc,

There is no requirement that she be with you, as you have a Thai child with you that shows you CAN get that extension, but they might give you a hard time about it
