Hi,

Me and my boyfriend came to Thailand beginning of March with a 3months tourist visa.

We didn't do an extension as the armesty was declared.

It seems like they will not extend the armesty after the 31st of July.

Can we ask for an extension?

Should we do it before the 31st?

Can we do it online?

I think you are confused. There is no "3 month tourist visa"

If you bought a tourist visa from a thai consulate before you came here, when you arrived you would be stamped in for 60 days (and if you wanted to you could have gotten a 30 day extension at the immigration office for 1900baht).

Check your entry stamp and see if you were stamped in for 60 days..

IF you did not apply for a 30 day extension off your 60 day tourist visa extension you CAN go and apply for it at the immigration office in your area for 1900 baht

You need to do it BEFORE amnesty ends. So I'd go this coming week and apply for it

will the 30 day extension apply from the day I request it or from the end of the amnesty? If it’s applied from the day I go would make sense to go nearer 31 July if I want to maximise my stay. I appreciate immigration will be busier nearer the 31st.

If you are on tourist visa entry or visa-exempt entry, you need to go to Muang Tong Thani. And be aware you need to get queue IN ADVANCE. They limit the number of applications of the day. Means If you are too late, you may not be able to get extension BEFORE amnesty period ends...

It will start from the date you apply for it. You'd use the Muang Thong Thani office in Bangkok
