ORIGINAL POSTER
Is it possible to apply for an extension when holding a 90-day single entry NON-0 visa based on being over 50? I am not asking for the 1 year extension, but a short term extension similar to tourist visas that can be extended by 30 days. Thanks in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post inquires about the possibility of extending a 90-day single entry NON-O visa for individuals over 50. Commenters clarify that there is no option for a short-term extension similar to tourist visas. The only alternatives mentioned are either applying for a one-year extension or potentially receiving a 7-day grace period after an extension refusal.

nope, you either go for the year or you don't. There is no short term one available.

You MIGHT as in maybe be able to get a 7 day "application for extension denied" stamp that gives you 7 days to get out of thailand, but that'd be it.
