Can I enter and exit Thailand multiple times on a DTV visa without issues?

Hi everyone,

I entered Thailand on 9 December using my DTV visa. On arrival, I received an entry stamp valid until early June.

My question:

With this visa, can I enter and exit Thailand multiple times without issues, as long as the DTV visa itself is still valid? Or are there known cases where re-entry was questioned or refused?

I’m specifically looking for first-hand experiences (recent, preferably 2024/2025), not assumptions or hearsay.

Thanks in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The DTV visa is a multiple entry visa valid for 5 years, allowing holders to enter and exit Thailand as needed. Upon each entry, travelers are typically granted a 180-day stay. It is recommended to report to immigration if staying over 90 days. While most experiences indicate smooth re-entries, some individuals have noted instances of questioning at immigration, though no significant issues preventing entry have been reported.

My DTV visa was issued at the end of 2024 and I have entered roughly 10 times. My first hand experience IS that it never took longer than 30 seconds at immogration. I do have an extensive history of tourists visas, covid extensions and "Interviews" when emtering Thailand before. All problems vanished with the DTV 😌

Come and go as you please can only stay 180 days - if you are in country 90 days you have to report. If you leave before 90 days and re-enter it starts over along with your 180 days

Its a multiple entry visa. You can just walk in or out as much as you like as long as you leave before 180 consecutive days.

Whether you will get questioned or not is down to the officer. No one can answer that for you.

The DTV is a FIVE year, multiple entry visa, you can exit/re-enter all you want during that time and you will get stamped in for 180 days each entry. There are a few reports where people were questioned on entry, but AFAIK no verifiable ones where people couldn't get stamped in on their DTV

PRINT out that PDF file they emailed you (as that is your visa) present it along with your passport to the officer at passport control when you stamp in.

CHECK your stamp when they had the passport back to make sure you got a DTV entry stamp for 180 days
