I have drove it twice from Chiang Mai. It’s about
*******
baht a day to leave your car at the border. 2000 baht to enter Laos. Parking lots on left before border entrance to leave your car. Take the bus across the bridge. Taxis are annoying to get to the city. If you can use grab I would.

why dont you just fly out? faster and cheaper… and then you will spend a good amount of days in Laos until your visa is approved. Have to put it online in the eVisa system!

Very difficult to get your car into Laos. It's a very long drive at least 17 hrs. Suggest you fly to Udon Thani and take a bus to the border.
