Has anyone had experience changing from an METV (Multiple Entry Tourist Visa) to a DTV spouse visa?

I am currently holding an METV and would like to apply for a DTV as a spouse.

1. Do I need to cancel my METV before applying for the DTV?

2. What is the process and how long does it usually take?

3. Can I proceed with the DTV application while the METV cancellation is still in process?

No, no one had this experience because you cannot change the visas. Yes you have to cancel the METV first or wait to expire. No, you cannot apply for DTV during the cancelation of the METV. Why such a rush? Just be patient
