I have enrolled at Siam College and received the invitation letter. However, I don’t have enough time to get the ED-Visa for myself or the Non-O Visa for my husband as we have already booked and paid our flight for the 14th of April.
Can we fly to Thailand and get the stamp on arrival and then convert to the ED and Non-O visa?
(I have stayed in Thailand before and was on an ED-Visa, I came home to visit my family but then due to COVID, I couldn’t return.. The ED-Visa I do have is not active any longer)
Thanks
🙏🏼

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is seeking advice on entering Thailand on a tourist stamp and later converting it to an ED-Visa for themselves and a Non-O Visa for their husband, due to time constraints before their flight.

and what did Siam College say to you when you asked them if you could come in visa exempt and then apply for the in country ED visa and have your husband apply for the in country Non-O visa based on marriage to a foreigner legally here on an education visa for a college?
well if you don't have time before you fly to get the visas there, it's not like there's a lot you can do but come here and see what happens after that
Whether you can or can't is totally up to whether the college can give you the correct documentation to apply in country at the immigration office or not, AND whether the immigration office will let you do it AND if you can have enough time left on your stamp to do it.
Worst case you come in visa exempt, get the documents and go to a thai consulate in a nearby country to get the Non-ED & Non-O visa
