I have a question concerning the validity of the DTV. Is it starting right when they issue it, or can you choose the starting date at a future date? For example I apply now, but my flight to Thailand will be in November, so I want to start the validity from Nov. 1 2024 onwards. Is that possible?

Answer summary

The validity of a Thai Digital Visa (DTV) starts on the day it is issued, either when the visa sticker is placed in your passport or when you receive a confirmation email with the visa PDF. Applicants cannot choose a future starting date for the visa validity. Additionally, some consulates may require proof of travel to Thailand within 90 days of the visa issuance.

Starts the day the put the sticker in your passport (if you use a consulate that does sticker visas) OR the day the send you the email with the PDF in it which is your visa

That you want it to start in Nov is neither here nor there 😛

Keep in mind some consulates want you to to show proof you're coming to thailand within 90 days of the visa being issued.
