No, you don't, but you need to carry your old passport as well as your new.

No you dont need to carry your old passport I already told you. the dtv is linked to you biologically through A.i. So if u lose your passport or damage it and get a new one .... you would still be able to enter as long as you have a valid passport and if they have your finger print and facial recognition in their database. Im telling you from experience

If you have it sure but what if you damage or lose it? My passport was taken by the US embassy by law because it was damaged the same day they gave me my emergency passport but they gave me copies of all my old pages and a letter.

Were you stamped in for 180 days on your Emergency passport ?

What's unexpected is that they admitted you on just a mere emergency passport. Only certain countries do, and I had been under the impression it was mainly only if you were en route to your native country

you are correct, doesn’t mean you can’t ever go anywhere else, but the intended purpose is to get you home or to an embassy if your eligible to get your full passport back while abroad.

they have a 5 year visa he is traveling on an emergency passport. Thats why its called an emergency passport. They have time to apply for a new passport.

No. The us embassy confiscated my old passport but I had copies of my old passport pages and a letter from the us embassy. But they didnt even ask me any questions once they scanned me
