I currently have a Non Immigrant O-MEV. I need to cancel it and re enter Thailand as a tourist. Can the cancellation happen as I am leaving Thailand, or do I need to spend the day at Immigration to do it?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks guidance on whether they can cancel their Non-Immigrant O-MEV visa upon exiting Thailand or if an in-person visit to the Immigration Office is required. Comments clarify that if the user has an Extension of Stay, it can be canceled at the Immigration Office, which is necessary if the reason for the extension has changed. However, if only the original visa sticker is present, it cannot be canceled.

So you have now a stamp in your passport with the text Extension of Stay permitted up to ../.../.. (a date somewhere in the future). This stamp can be cancelled at the Immigration Office and must be cancelled if the basis on which you got this stamp changed.

I have the original sticker like above issued in the states. Then I also have after the sticker was issued an extension of stay. In this case, can it be canceled?

If you have the actual visa sticker in your passport you can not cancel this, if you have an Extension of Stay than you can cancel this at Immigration Office. The difference between these two:
